The main component of our one month journalism course in Berlin is the creation of a cultural magazine guide to the city. Our journalism students write, edit, design and photograph a publication under our guidance. The final piece is then published online and printed. This is a great way for those taking a journalism degree to get some real world experience, documenting one of the world’s most exciting cities. Our course is also a fit for gap year students, recent graduates and anyone looking for a creative career change.
We also run introductory podcasting classes, usually at the start of our programme, where we hope to help our students find their storytelling voice. You’ll gain first-hand experience with professional podcasting equipment and have a crash course in editing software.
The timetable also consists of regular German language classes and participation in local art projects / workshops. Our course is an exciting blend of work, study and endless fun exploring Berlin.
Overall, this program was a real turning point for me. It showed me how much I want to continue in journalism. I loved how creative it was and how it let us explore Berlin in such a fun way..

This summer, I had the incredible opportunity to join TTJ’s journalism course in Berlin, which focused on creating a travel magazine, it was a wonderful experience, and the project itself was amazing.

I really appreciate every team member’s effort and support throughout this journey. Writing a magazine in English was such a challenge for me, but we pulled it off together in the end.
